One of the most important issues facing mountain destinations today is the fragmentation of product. Regional destination marketing organizations must take control of the packaging and booking experience to bring more visitors to their destination. Booking technology that bundles products such as lodging and lift tickets and potentially other services is critical to provide consumers with what they are looking for and for destinations to earn direct business instead of their customers booking through third parties.
